While both methods aim to give your carpets a good clean, they follow different approaches. Basically, dry cleaning involves the use of a dry cleaning solution of cleaning solvents and water which is applied to the carpet. A machine fitted with rotating pads is then run over the carpet to remove stains and dirt.
Dry cleaning or hot water extraction involves the injecting of hot water using a high pressure jet spray, then vacuuming the water out. This method ensures a deep clean, penetrating the carpet completely.
